When I have a stressful day, the first thing I want to do is go home. I want to relax. I want to lay in bed. I want to watch youtube. I don’t want to be productive, and that’s okay!! Here are 10 ways I unwind after a stressful day.
A nice bubble bath always relaxes me, especially when using lavender bath salts and bubbles. Turn the lights down and enjoy the bath.
To make your bath a bit more relaxing, light candles and turn off the lights. The flicker will be a very soft light. Make sure the candles match the smell of the bubbles/salts or unscented ones!
I suggest listening to relaxing playlists on Spotify or listen to an audiobook you’ve been dying to read! The soft music with the lights and hot water will make you very relaxed!
I like to nourish my face as much as my body. I usually wear a face mask while soaking! I want to feel refreshed all over.
I love my hair, but it dries out very quickly. If your hair is like mine, use a mask to help it bounce back and hydrate. I wear a shower cap and leave it on until i get out of the tub. You can find DIY masks on Pinterest. My favorite is Aztec Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar.
No one likes shaving… at least I don’t know anyone who does, but you can use this time to do that! When you’re this relaxed from the bath, it’s nice to get something productive done!
If you love books, like me, you can use this time to read something you haven’t read before, or your favorite book. Just make sure you don’t get the book wet!
After all this relaxation, you might want to take a nap. You will wake up clean, refreshed, and feeling better than ever!
If you aren’t a napping person then you might like sipping on a nice, hot drink while watching your favorite shows.
Adult coloring books are a big trend right now! The do help with anxiety and relaxation. If you’ve always loved to color, this is a great option to end your day!
